This cadaver-patient simulated course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and confidence to place the ERA Implants that will support an overdenture. The ERA Implant is a tool to help address quality of life as it pertains to denture patients by using the only mini-overdenture implant approved for permanent use by the FDA. It will help to identify which cases would be ideal for the general dentist to handle and which cases should be referred. The participants will also be trained in the use of IMPLANT LOGIC SYSTEM'S "VIP" (virtual implant placement) software. This tool allows the dentist to take a standard DICOM CT image, plan the implant three dimensionally and make a surgical guide. It also allows the laboratory technician to proactively participate in, not only the delivery of the finished denture, but also the treatment plan. There are over 40 million Americans that are edentulous and looking for a life style altering solution.
