Oral Surgery ReviewOS1: Oral Surgery for the General Dentist, This course makes oral surgery more simple and predictable by teaching techniques and instruments they didnt cover in dental school. The main emphasis is on routine extractions that turn difficult including how and where to use larger flaps, section teeth and remove bone. OS2: More Advanced Oral Surgery for the General Dentist, The course continues building on the surgical principles covered in the first half. It takes surgery to the next level by discussing mandibular and maxillary impacted wisdom teeth. Supportive information is presented, such as case selection and referral criteria; effective oral sedation; preventing and treating dry sockets and post-op infections; how to mitigate swelling, pain and trismus; and how3 to prevent/manage bleeding problems. |
