PsychologistsAudio-Digest Foundation is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Audio-Digest Foundation maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Each Audio-Digest Psychiatry home study activity is offered for 2 CE credits for psychologists.Doctors of Optometry (ODs)Audio-Digest Ophthalmology provides continuing education credit to optometrists because of a partnership between the Audio-Digest Foundation and Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO). PCO is designated by the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education as a COPE-Qualified Administrator of continuing education for ODs. Contact your state board for its accepted number of recorded media credits: http://www.arbo.org/statecerequirements.php.Starting with Volume 44 , Issue 11, June 7, 2006, each issue of Audio-Digest Ophthalmology is presented for 1.0 credits of continuing education for optometrists by the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO) for a maximum of three years from the publication date. From Volume 41, Issue 1 (January 2001) to Volume 44, Issue 10 (May 2006) each issue was presented for 1.5 CE credits. As of 9/21/05, each issue of Audio-Digest Ophthalmology may be used for continuing education for optometrists for a maximum of three years from its publication date. COMTs, COAs, and COTsThe Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) allows certificants to earn JCAHPO Group B credits towards recertification with Audio-Digest Ophthalmology activities. With each completed program, including passing the posttest, certificants may calculate credits earned for completion of Category 1 CME activities in Ophthalmology approved by the AMA as 2 hours of participation equals 1 B Credit for COAs and COTs, and 1 hour of participation equals 1 B Credit for COMTs.
Many individual titles are offered as part of more than one course. You may only earn AMA Category 1 Credit one time for each title. If you are an ASI repeat student, or are an individual subscriber to Audio Digest, there is a chance you may register for material for which you have already earned credit. If either of these conditions apply to you, please advise our offices prior to registration. Nursing AccreditationASI is an approved provider of the California Board of Registered Nurses, (#9124). Each state has their own criteria, and most accept California credits. Check with your state nursing organization concerning California credits. Dental AccreditationASI is an approved provider for the California Board of Dental Examiners, #2068. Credits satisfy California Dental Education Requirements, as well as most State and Dental Academy requirements.
