Advanced 3D-Bioprinting Technique Produces Viable Tissue for the Human Body

Functional ear, bone and muscle have been created using the advanced 3D-bioprinting technology called the Integrated Tissue and Organ Printing system, or ITOP, developed by the research team at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This is great news after years of disappointing results from the promising sector of tissue and organ replication and replacement. The new technology creates an environment that sustains the cells, supports cell growth and successfully promotes tissue, vessel and nerve formation. This opens doors to personalized tissue generation in the future.  Click here to read more.
