Dr. Marvin Leventer, DDS

Biography

Dr. Leventer received his B.A. degree from Yeshiva University in New York City in 1985. He  attended The University of Maryland Dental School from 1986-1990, and received his D.D.S. degree. He then completed a two year General Practice Residency from 1990-1992 at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, and after a year in general practice went on to complete a two year hospital based Dental Anesthesiology Residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in New York from 1993-1995. Dr. Leventer has been practicing general dentistry and dental anesthesiology in Maryland since 1995.

Dr. Leventer has completed over 500 hours of continuing education in many areas of dentistry such as: restorative dentistry, TMJ therapy, pain management, dental implant surgery and prosthetics, esthetics, periodontics, endodontics, and anesthesiology.

Dr. Leventer is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the American Society of Dentist anesthesiologists. He holds a faculty position at the University of Maryland Dental School, where he is involved weekly teaching dental residents and students. As well, he has given many lectures to other dentists on the use of sedation and anesthesia in dentistry.

Dr. Leventer and his wife Debbie have two daughters Alyssa and Julia. They are nine and three years old. He enjoys long distance running, and triathlons. He has completed six marathons since 1994, and many triathlons. One of his future goals is to complete an ironman distance trialthlon. He also enjoys photography and sculpture. You will be able to see some of his art projects hanging on the walls of the office.
