Terms of Service

  • ASI Clients must have their course package in hand prior to the start date of their seminar. If overnight delivery before 5:00pm is required, please call our offices for a price quote, shipping terms and availability.
  • ASI must have 10 business days minimum (Monday to Friday) to ship your seminar via US mainland standard shipping. If the start date of your seminar is in less than 10 business days, ASI will automatically charge you for and ship via expedited shipping.
  • ASI will schedule the shipping of your course materials packet, via Federal Express Ground, 21 days prior to your seminar start date. Registrations taken with less than 14 days lead time will be shipped as soon as possible (same day or next business day). If given less than 10 business days for shipping, an expedited shipping method will be required at additional cost to ensure receipt of your materials packet prior to your seminar start date.
  • ASI cannot ship to P.O. Box addresses. Please provide a physical address where there will be someone to sign for the package. A signature is required on delivery of all course materials packages.
  • ASI is not responsible for address errors on online orders. Clients must carefully double check the ship to address they type in or select on their online registration order as this is the exact address the course materials package will be shipped to. Any additional shipping costs or shipping delays due to an erroneous address entered in the online registration form are solely the responsibility of the client.
  • Ground shipping is not an option for shipments of course materials packets to Hawaii and Alaska. Shipments of course materials packets to Hawaii and Alaska MUST be sent via 2nd Day Express Shipping and will incur an additional $25.00 shipping fee. Please call regarding overnight shipping options to Alaska and Hawaii as that option is available only in limited areas.
  • All international shipments (including shipments to Canada) will automatically incur an additional international shipping fee of $40.00 or more.
  • All international shipments require a signature upon delivery. If course materials are returned to ASI because no signature could be obtained, the client is responsible for all associated re-routing and/or return fees.
  • ASI does not ship to all international travel destinations. Please call our offices for complete International Shipping information, terms, availability and pricing.
  • ASI will not be responsible for packages shipped to hotels or accommodations, including hotels and accommodations within the United States and Canada, once they are signed for by accommodation staff.
  • Priority Overnight Shipping, Saturday Delivery and International Shipping options are available in some areas. Please call our offices for information about pricing and availablity for these options.
  • Limitation of Liability on Shipping of Educational Material Packets: ASI requires a signature on delivery of all course materials packages. American Seminar Institute will not be liable for shipments where a client has requested residential delivery via "signature release" (no signature required). If you choose to have your package shipped without a signature required, and the package is delivered to the provided/correct shipping address according to Federal Express documentation, you are responsible for full payment of all course costs, including any course replacement and/or additional shipping costs. ASI strongly recommends that clients require a signature on all packages due to the high value of the enclosed educational materials. ASI strongly recommends packages are shipped to an address where there will be someone available to sign for the delivery of your materials packet during business hours.  ASI will not be responsible for packages that are signed for and are lost or stolen after signature is obtained from a representative at the provided address (should the package be lost or stolen, the client may obtain replacement materials by paying the specified cost and any additional shipping charges).
  • Sale Course topics must be completed and testing returned prior to the expiration date. If titles are out of stock or will expire for credit prior to your scheduled completion date, ASI will substitute another topic from the list of discounted topics. Due date guidelines must be strictly adhered to in order to obtain AMA Category I Credits. Topics do not qualify for AAFP, ACEP, or AANA credits.
  • If the course for which you have registered for will duplicate with any previous course taken with American Seminar Institute or Audio-Digest Foundation, a newer course version will be sent, if available, or you will be contacted for an alternative course choice.  Our Medical topics are produced by Audio Digest Foundation (ADF).  You must disclose to ASI if you are an active or prior subscriber to ADF.  Should you not do so, and do not verfiy volumes and issues taken through your subscription with ADF and you duplicate topics, you will not receive credit for any duplicated topics.  ASI is not responsible for duplication due to a subscription with ADF that has not been disclosed and/or verified via specialty/volume/issue.

Course cannot be cancelled after your original start date (regardless of format) but may be put on hold for future dates (up to 12 months later). Arrangements must be made in writing, directly with our office.  Additionally, if you are a new client cancelling your initial order and we have paid out a referral to the colleague that referred you, the $50 referral fee will be deducted from your refund. If you have already received physical discs & materials, or if they have already been shipped to you, you will be responsible for returning these UNOPENED materials to our office at your expense.  Upon return of all the materials, we will issue your refund minus our incurred shipping fees, the $50.00 per person/per course administrative fee and any colleague referrals that have been paid out on your behalf.  *If you have ordered a digital download, you CANNOT cancel your course.  The student can request the course to be put on hold for up to 12 months. Students must verify with one of ASI’s representatives that selected course to be put on hold does not expire within the 12 month time frame. If you have any further questions or need verification on dates, please call (800) 446-5599.
